All appliances that are tested need to be properly identified by a labelling system. At Apollo we adopt a labelling system so every piece of equipment has a unique serial number. The label also includes, the date the test was carried out, the initials of the tester, whether the appliance passed or failed and when the item requires to be retested. We also offer a free digital database which will provide you with a copy of your records.
We recommend every electrical piece of equipment is tested annually.
All our testers are competent, certified and have extensive knowledge and experience with a range of appliances.
Our Pat Testing service abides by:
- The Health and Safety at Work act 1974
- The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
- The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 states all electrical appliances should be maintained to prevent risk of accident:
"as may be necessary to prevent danger all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent so far as reasonably practicable such danger."
